Saturday October 12th sees the club hosting the annual swim-athon and bake sale!
Swim-The-Channel Challenge
Swimming the English Channel was first achieved in 1875. It’s a distance 33.5km and took 22 Hours to complete.
The world record stands at 6 hrs 57mins.
We (our kids) are going to combine to swim it in 2 hrs!
The swim will take place in Swan Leisure, Rathmines from 8am to 10am. (The UCD session won’t take place that day).
With a total of one thousand four hundred lengths to complete, we’re hoping for a big participation.
Sponsorship cards will be shared with the kids in the week to come.
All money raised will be spent directly on the kids and supporting club events.

Immediately after the Channel Challenge, we have our cake sale from 10 til 12. (or while cake stocks last)
We’d hope some kids can assist with the cake sales and again, parent volunteers to supervise will be welcome.
